2025 Scholarship Recipient - Jaelyn Gratten

Per Jaelyn's U.S. History teacher he is a critical thinker and has the ability to grasp complex concepts and he excels in applying what he learns in practical situations. Jaelyn  played football and ran track for BHS 

 Bastrop High School Student Council Program,  Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church ,   Str8 Hoopin Inc. and  BHS PALS Program    

Louisiana Christian University -  Accepted to play football and will major in Computer Engineering

 Perri’s former honors biology teacher said she stood out as an energetic and dynamic student who consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and an impressive ability to collaborate effectively with her peers. 

Perri was mentor for the Bastrop High School PALS program for two-years, SERVE,  volunteered with the Family Crisis Center, Trinity Zion Ministries and for the Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team.

Perri will be attending Huston-Tillotson University

playing volleyball and majoring in Psychology.  She plans on going into the field of Psychometrics.

One of Yesliann's basketball coaches said the she demonstrates exceptional discipline, perseverance and leadership both on and off the court.

Bear Camp, B.E.S.T College Night, BHS Prom Committee, Bastrop Homecoming Committee

Yesliann will be attending Prairie View A&M University and majoring in Kinesiology. 

The College and Career Advisor said Alaysia's dedication to her studies is evident in her ability to balance a rigorous academic workload while excelling as a student athlete.

Alaysia will be attending the  University

playing volleyball and majoring in Psychology. 

One of Paytin's Assistant Principals stated, Paytin has maintained an impressive standing, earning a place on the A/B honor Roll and balancing athletics and part-time employment.

Paytin will be attending Texas State University, majoring in English. Her plans are to become an English teacher.
